Job Fair

2012 School of Forest Resources Job Fair

The School of Forest Resources at the University of Maine wants to connect our highly qualified students with any summer or temporary forest resource related jobs that your organization may have for 2012. Therefore, we are pleased to invite you to participate in our annual Forest Resources Job Fair to be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Wells Conference Center at the University of Maine in Orono.  The Job Fair will be held from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, with the option of holding on-site interviews from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. We will provide display tables, electrical outlets, and areas for on-site interviews for all potential employers.  There is no cost to participate in this event and a light lunch will be provided.

The School of Forest Resources includes undergraduate majors in Forestry; Forest Operations, Bioproducts and Bioenergy; Forest Ecosystem Science; and Parks, Recreation & Tourism.  At the Job Fair, you will have the opportunity to meet with and inform students about any seasonal, summer, or permanent positions that are or may become available during the coming year, as well as any internship opportunities.

We hope that you will join us for this exciting event and contribute to its success.  Last year’s job fair was a tremendous success for employers and students that participated.  It will be a great opportunity for you to connect with our outstanding students in the forest resources fields and an opportunity to share information about your company or organization to our future graduates.

Please let us know if you will be attending the School of Forest Resources Job Fair by completing and returning the RSVP form to us by January 17th. Please contact Cindy Paschal (581-2841; cpaschal@maine.edu) with any questions about the job fair. If you are unable to attend this year, please complete the RSVP form with your contact information so we can invite you to participate next year.
