Computer Requirements

Students in the School of Forest Resources are required to have a Microsoft Windows laptop computer that is powerful enough to support the program requirements necessary for coursework.

Minimum System Requirements:

Operating System: Windows 11
Processor: 3.7 GHz or higher
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Hard Drive: 1TB Capacity
Graphics: must be able to run the required software (see below)

We recommend the following system:

Operating System: Windows 11
Processor: 4.80 GHz or Higher
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Hard Drive: 1 TB Capacity
Graphics: must be able to run the required software (see below)

Computers that meet the minimum or recommended system requirements can be purchased at the UM aine Bookstore.
