B.S. in Forestry
The four-year curriculum, accredited by the Society of American Foresters, requires completion of 120 credits of coursework. In addition to the University’s general education requirements in science, human values, communications, and mathematics, the curriculum includes forest-oriented courses in biology, soil science, measurements, mapping, inventory, protection, ecology, tree culture, economics, policy, and administration. These are combined into an integrated approach to the management of forests for desired, sustainable conditions that respond to society’s demands for a healthy forest environment, wood-based products, wildlife habitats, recreational opportunities, and water resources.B.S. in Parks, Recreation and Tourism
B.S. in Sustainable Materials and Technology (Fall 2021 and later)

The B.S. in Sustainable Materials and Technology degree meets societal demands to move away from fossil fuels; renewable and sustainable resources are increasingly being used to create products ranging from construction and paper to packaging, composites, electronics, textiles, plastics, and bioenergy.
The SMT degree program provides foundational knowledge on how wood and other plant-based materials can be sustainably produced and converted into these products. Students will learn the fundamentals of plant growth and science, principles for sustainably converting renewable resources into a range of products, and business and supply chain concepts.
