Forest Resources Scholarship Program
The University of Maine’s Forest Resources Scholars Program (FRSP) provides scholarships to the best and brightest applicants to the School of Forest Resources (SFR) undergraduate BS in Forestry.
Study Abroad
Direct Exchange Programs are offered for School of Forest Resources programs at Bangor University in Wales, Universidad de Santiago de Compostela in Spain, and HFR Rottenburg in Germany. The Office of International Programs has primary responsibility for
coordinating University of Maine international academic and
outreach initiatives, activities and programs. The OIP fosters and
supports international education on campus, and strives to promote
international understanding and global awareness. OIP is a unit of
Academic Affairs.


Double Majors and Minors
Students in the School of Forest Resources can declare more than one major, called a “double major”, and begin working on the requirements across a range of topics.
Majors to consider for double major: Forestry; Parks, Recreation & Tourism; Sustainable Materials & Technology; Botany; Earth
Sciences; Zoology
Common minors include: Forest Products, Forest Recreation Management, Biology, Botany, Ecology & Environmental
Sciences, Economics, Entomology, Environmental Horticulture, Soil Science, Sustainable
Agriculture, Survey Engineering Technology, Zoology.
